FAQs — Host Homes

What is a host home?

+

The Peak Support Service Host Home program is looking for caring and compassionate individuals to open their hearts and home to an individual living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A host home provides a supportive, family-like environment for our clients, while helping them gain independence and integrate into the community.

What types of people should consider becoming a host home provider?

+

Host Home Providers come from all walks of life. There are many reasons that people choose to become caregivers, but the primary reason is that they are compassionate and care about assisting and mentoring others.
